As a lot of the illustrations are right to the spine of the book it can be difficult to color. Many colorists like to have the binding removed for easier coloring. Always do a test on one of the name plate pages before diving into the whole book. The paper is not thick enough for markers but should withstanding gel pens and fine liners. The paper is quite thick and a cream/off white colour. Don’t worry if you forget to find them when you are absorbed in your coloring there is a legend at the end. It is interactive as well as the colorist is encouraged to find the hidden objects in the book. The book is presented in story book form. The paper is double sided and the images are shown on the reverse as well. I love the beautiful hand drawn illustrations that the artist has created. This is one of my favorite colouring books.
